awful. placed an order with this place after cancelling my homefire order because they took so long. turns out to be the same place (cpl) and they messed me about again. waited 7 days and after hearing nothing, phoned them up and was told just to wait longer. cancelled the order again. i recommend you avoid homefire, coals2u and cpl.

Almost 2 weeks after placing an order for some charcoal they can't tell me where it is. I rang twice and was told "we will have to ring you back". Which they didn't.

They are quick to take your money, slow to refund and useless at delivering.

Ordered on a monday the coal was delivered on wednesday and left in my carage as asked.
Excellent all round service.

Very good. Called and asked if they could delayed the delivery for the week after and yes no problem. Delivery made the next week driver dropped the logs in shed which was not expected. Will call again.

After the order they don't say how long it will take, they just notify the day before. Most of my deliveries have taken 2 or 3 weeks of hearing nothing.

They only seem to schedule the delivery after you call to complain.

Have had 6 deliveries, and today is about to be the second time I've waited in all day for them not turn up.

They don't value customers enough to even give an approximate time. Tried ringing them today but office closed on Saturdays.

Poor Service
Repeated emails to say delivery will be next day but it never was. Cancelled in the end and was told that order had already been cancelled. Not a good service

Received an email on Thursday 18th December informing me my order would be delivered on Friday 17th December even telling me the drivers name. By Friday 4ish l decided to ring to find out it was going to be delivered.
You can only get through to head office the woman l spoke to said she had no record of any email being sent, she would ring the local depot to find out what was going on and get back to me, as my boiler is broken and it's the only heat l'm going to have over Christmas. It now Saturday the 18th. Tried ringing head office closed don't work Saturdays, so l tried ring the local depot which is about 25 min drive away only they don't answer the phones you are redirected to the head office number. They take your money and once they have it treat you in such a disgusting way. I won't be using this bunch of cowboys again.

Ordered coal on 21st November and it was delivered on 26th November.
One bag was split but it wasn't a major problem.
I read the reviews on here first so was a bit worried but went ahead anyway and was glad I did.

Terrible service. Will never use again.

Waited 12 days after order to then be told the order was delayed and they had no idea when delivery would be.

When I emailed to complain and ask what would be done, I basically received a shoulder shrug back.

Took a month for my coal to come.

Very good price on ton of anthracite. Ordered on Thursday and delivered on the following Tuesday.

Would have been 5 stars but let down by the actual delivery.

Coals2u advertise "We deliver the traditional way. Bagged coal and firewood (up to 50kg) are delivered exactly where you need them. In your fuel store or even by the fireside "

I asked for the coal to be placed at side of house by back door, delivery man said yes no problem, but only quarter of the bags was placed there, the rest was placed at top of steps, obviously got fed up of walking down the 5 steps. His loss really, he lost out on a good tip.

He didn't let me know that he had finished the delivery and left the side gate open to side of house.

Day 14 from order and still no delivery. Telephoned requesting delivery date and was told unable to give a date......pathetic! I have used CPL/Coals2u for some 25 years but will not use them again after this order.

Delivery takes a couple of weeks from order but I expected that in current climate. Email sent day before advising of am delivery but it was nearer to 1.00 when delivered. Driver delivered to garage as asked. Very good price for the product.

Again, delivery lets them down.

Having read reviews about excellent customer service I placed an order on 4/10/21. On 6/10/21 I was advised that the delivery would be a few days late. On 18/10 I chased by email. On 19/10 was told that delivery would be today 20/10. No times were given so I got up early at 7 am only to find it had already been delivered nowhere near my front door. I am 73 and the only reason I ordered was for the easy of delivery. When i complained that the driver had not rung the door bell I was told that this was because of "no contact delivery". This is not my idea of no contact so I won't be ordering again.

I still don’t have my coal, or a delivery date, despite ordering two weeks ago . The company have simply taken my money and not delivered the order. I emailed them and they replied (after a few days) and I was told there are delays, but not told why, or when I can expect the delivery . I have emailed again but am still waiting for a reply, let alone a delivery. At the moment I cannot recommend this company.
